Sing With Us
If you are interested in joining Edinburgh Grand Opera as a member of the amateur Chorus (and therefore becoming a Member of the Company), or as a Principal, for our fundraising concerts or for our full opera productions, please contact us using the links in the Chorus and Principal Sections to the left.
We usually sing in the language of the original libretto, often in French or Italian for the full length operas and some concert pieces; sometimes in English, Latin or German too for the latter..
Our next fully staged performance is Carmen, from 23rd - 26th May, 2012 in the Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh.
Principals' Auditions for Carmen were held in September 2011 and we have our full compliment of cast members for this season.
Chorus Auditions for Carmen will take place after 9th January when we have rehearsed some of the music, usually on several evenings after stopping rehearsals early. We are always keen to attract new members, including students and other enthusiastic singers, to our company.
